Privacy notice

KeyC provides an account and coordination service for collaborative Bitcoin multisignature wallets. This notice explains the information used by the website, account service and wallet coordination service.

Google sign-in and your KeyC account

Google sign-in verifies your identity. Google provides a signed identity token that may contain your name, profile picture, email address and a stable Google account identifier. KeyC validates that token and stores the identifier and verified email address, linked to a fixed KeyC account ID. KeyC does not persist the raw Google identity token, name or profile picture. Your email address is account metadata readable by the service; it is not part of the encrypted wallet configuration.

KeyC uses this information to sign you in, display your linked login method and keep the same account across devices. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or your Google password. We do not sell Google identity data or use it for advertising. Existing username accounts can link Google only after authenticating the original KeyC account.

Wallet information and signing keys

Wallet configuration, drafts and client API identities are encrypted in your browser before account synchronization. KeyC stores those encrypted records with account, network and version metadata. Google sign-in alone cannot decrypt them. A trusted browser can retain an encrypted unlock capability; a new device requires the account recovery file, or the original password for a legacy account.

Bitcoin seeds and signing private keys stay in your separately chosen hardware or mobile wallets. KeyC does not provide a field for entering them. Account recovery files contain sensitive account recovery and decryption material, and should not be emailed to support. Recovery files do not replace the Bitcoin signatures needed to move funds.

Wallet coordination can process the public keys, policy information, transaction declarations, status and encrypted messages needed for the requested service. Signed Bitcoin transactions become public when you choose to broadcast them. Blockchain providers can observe the addresses and transactions requested through their services; Bitcoin blockchain records cannot be removed by deleting a KeyC account.

Browser storage and service providers

KeyC uses essential login cookies, temporary sign-in challenges and browser storage for encrypted wallet copies and your trusted-device choice. Login cookies expire, and you can sign out, revoke other website sessions or forget the current device in account settings. Clearing browser data removes local copies but does not automatically delete synchronized account records.

Google processes sign-in interactions under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare hosts the website and account database and processes requests for security and delivery. Wallet coordination infrastructure and external blockchain APIs process the requests necessary for the wallet actions you choose. These providers can process network information such as IP addresses and request metadata. KeyC does not add advertising trackers to the website.

Retention and your choices

Account identities and encrypted synchronized records remain stored while the account is maintained. Temporary authentication and rate-limit records have limited validity and are periodically cleaned up. Protected operational backups may retain copies until replaced; there is no automatic account-data deletion schedule in the current service.

You can download encrypted wallet backups and account recovery files. To request account correction or deletion, contact [email protected]. Account ownership must be verified before changes are made. Export the recovery information you need before requesting deletion: deleting account data does not recover Bitcoin keys or erase blockchain history.

Changes and contact

This notice will be updated when these practices change. Changes to how Google user data is used will be disclosed before that new use, with additional consent where required. For privacy or sign-in questions, contact [email protected]. Never send a seed phrase, Bitcoin private key or account recovery file.
